Initial Research: Brief 2 Interactive Storytelling

Defintion:

Interactive storytelling is the art of telling stories enhanced with technological, social or collaborative interactive features to offer content adapted to new behaviours.(https://medium.com/@benhoguet/what-is-interactive-storytelling-46bfdd2a8780#.ny19dyhf7)

Branching:

Branching is a technique used to make a design interactive. The term means creating a divide into one or more subdivisions. The audience is given options to then choose from to see how the story line develops.

In this next example there is a small amount of interactivity from the audience, however there are no options for the audience. Therefore does not use the branching method. soleilnoir

This is an example of a design that has an amazing style and great at storytelling, however there is no branching or options for the viewer. Peugeot Hybrid 4

If this was the brief I decide to use I think I will need to look into finding examples that include the branching technique, as this is a technique I would like to incorporate into my design.
